The Cypher Buyer Guarantee protects buyers against failed or dishonest transactions while preserving fairness for sellers.
1. What the Buyer Guarantee Covers
The Buyer Guarantee applies when:
- An item is not delivered
- An item is materially misrepresented
- An item is damaged due to improper packaging
If a claim is approved, Cypher will issue a refund to the buyer.
2. How the Buyer Guarantee Works
- Buyer places an order through Cypher checkout (Stripe-secured)
- Seller ships within 48 hours
- Funds are held during delivery confirmation
- Buyer opens a dispute within the allowed timeframe
- Cypher reviews evidence from both parties
- A resolution is issued
3. Seller Accountability
When a Buyer Guarantee claim is upheld:
- Refunds may be issued from the seller’s balance
- Seller strikes may be applied
- Repeated claims may lead to account restrictions or removal
4. What Is Not Covered
The Buyer Guarantee does not cover:
- Buyer’s remorse
- Market price changes
- Minor disclosed imperfections
- Carrier delays when tracking shows delivery
- Damage from improper storage after delivery
5. Cypher’s Role
- Is not the seller of items
- Does not authenticate listings in advance
- Acts as a neutral platform and mediator
- Makes final determinations to protect marketplace integrity
6. Limitations
Cypher may:
- Deny claims lacking sufficient evidence
- Close claims filed outside policy windows
- Restrict Buyer Guarantee access for abuse
7. Appeals
Buyers may appeal decisions by contacting support@cyphertcg.com within 5 business days of resolution.
